Default Advice needed- Yam FZ1 '07'

Hey

I've been offered a Yam FZ1 on an '07' plate for £3000 (I could get the price down a bit)

Basically its a steal if mileage isn't a problem..

Its got 63,000 miles on the clock. It's an instructors bike always been serviced by Yam 500 miles early. It's had a new Hagon shock, new Yamaha clutch, fork service, new rear Yamaha disc, gel seat, Rentec Sportsrack, Baglux tank cover and bag, Remus Okami, heated grips, and a couple of coil packs, mostly in the last year. Its exactly what I'm looking for in the right color. Its just the mileage that is concerning me?

Thanks

Depends what sort of miles it has done. If it's been well fettled there's no reason those motors can't do that twice.

The biggest thing is just generally grottiness. A couple of bad wires will REALLY ruin your day on an injected bike and if it hasn't been regularly fettled and ridden in salt a lot then a lot of bits may be corroded and seized.

General condition rather than the number on the clocks I'd say.

The fact that it's been serviced by yam rather than fettling it himself would work against it for me.

Well he rides it everyday pretty much, it goes out in all weathers. I mean he's with his students all day so the speed there doing is nothing for the Yam. I'm a bit stuck on what to do
