Bridgestone BT-023 opinions?

Anybody have any experience with these tyres?

I've been recommended them by my local bike shop but not sure if they're actually any good.

I had a pair of bt 021's on my sv.... the front was worn out but back was fine, anyway I was recommended bt 023's as apparently they are the newer version of bt 021's.

anyway I've had the front on for about 500 mile now and can't moan, seems nice and grippy (not that i'm pushing its limits I don't think) and if its anything like the bt 021's its good for long motorway trips without squaring off

I paid about £250 for a set of these to be put on my GSX650 two years ago, ride in ride out. I have put on about 8500 miles and expect to have to change them after an upcoming Euro trip, say another 2-2500.

They have always felt great. A little skittish in the wet now but the rear is squaring a little. In the dry I would say they offer nearly the same grip now as when nearly new. They certainly wouldn't hold me back.

I would imagine they might last longer on the SV as it's quite a bit lighter.

Would happily buy again, but will see the ££ difference between them and Michelin PR3's as I haven't heard a bad thing about them either.

I have 023's on my Fazer and I haven't come off or died yet so they must be good..

Very poor in the wet, wouldn't recommend them. I went to Michelin PR3's which were considerably better. I have Michelin Power Pure's on the ZX6 and they're about the same as my PR3's.

I have just taken them off my viffer, was going to put more on but was persuaded to try the new Bridgestone T30 which are there replacement.

I dont know how Doinitmyway managed to get so many miles from his, I got about 2500 from the rear and 4000 from the front!

I found they were good in the wet and dry but square off pretty quickly dispite being dual compound. Will see if the T30s are any better.

Out of those 8500 I know that 4350 odd has been done touring in Europe, with a..couple..of laps of the ring to help scrub the sides in

The original tyres for the bike were different front to rear. The whatever it was on the front I scrubbed to nearly bold in 4.5k and the rear BT021 just squared off - still in my shed as an emergency spare.

The 023's have worn the other way round with the front having plenty of tread left but the rear squaring off. The 023 rear felt loads better than the 021 in the damp/wet.

Like I said, knowing the sort of mileage I can get out of them it will be all down to ££ difference.

Would appreciate your feedback on these T30's

I got about 15,000 miles to a rear, 21,000 to the front.
This was while I was restricted and commuting, but still that's definitely not a false economy!!!
Rear squared off and front wore unevenly towards the end, but by that time they had been ridden a LONG way by anyone's standards so I can't complain.

They are pretty good in the wet I think. Maybe not as good as PR3's but no tyre's seem to have better wet grip than them.

I ride a fair bit of dual carriageway but also hit the twisties fairly hard.

I'm a big fan of bridgestones in general, got them on both bikes.


They've never seemed as bad as advertised in the wet although I don't have a massive basis for comparison and they don't half shift the gravel when you drive over it.
