Hi all, I'm selling my 2006 fully faired pointy.
Its YHJ Blue and has 22k on the clock. It has just had new chain and sprockets and the tyres have got plenty of tread left. Its Has MOT until August and Tax until July. It passed its last MOT with no problems at all. I have fitted heated grips, tail tidy and a Beowulf exhaust. Its in great condition with no falls or other big damage to report, just the usual age related usage stuff. I also have all the original parts. I have changed the oil every 3k and have kept up regular maintenance since purchase (Receipts kept), which was 1 year ago. I'm after around £2200 but would consider a swap or px for a naked SV or other naked make/model motorcycle (Min 600cc). I now commute daily and my body does not agree with the riding position of the S, hence sale. Just ask if your interested and I will send you pictures and my telephone number for a chat. Cheers Neil. Do a bar conversion, I have and haven't looked back. Commuting everyday is now confortable and was less than £200.

Agree with punky, before you swap out the sv comsider a bar conversion.
I did one last year as a last try before I sold the bike as I couldn't stand the position. I didnt buy a kit i actually got hold of a genuine naked sv yoke and then got the other bits I needed separately. The difference was Day and night. I love it and the sv is so much fun to ride now |

Not cheap though.... Just checked it £300! How easy/hard is it to fit?

Fairly easy, you'll need to remove the tank and injector bodies to fit the longer throttle cables, then just a case of removing old bars and yoke, remove all the stuff off the yoke and bars and fit to the new yoke.
You'll need a security torx (can't remember which size) to remove the ignition barrel. Helps to have a friend helping you, but it's not hard, afternoons work? Pity you are miles from me I'd give you a hand if you we're nearer, |
