Newcastle Air Show 2013

If anyone wants to have a wee look here are some of the snaps I took on Saturday. Probably the best airshow I've seen over here in NI

Some ace shots in there! really like the underside of the brightly coloured plane:

The irish coast guard heli was incredible, felt sorry for the people standing further down near it though, the downdraft must have moved half of the sand on the beach onto them

Love the Vulcan too. Was lucky enough to work on a restoration job years ago on one of those. It was only a museum piece which would never fly again but was great to get stuck into such an iconic aircraft. You gotta love a concorde engined bomber!

Are you an aircraft techie too then Dkid?

Yeah I did my apprenticeship with bae systems. Have since worked for airbus & now gkn aerospace. Also done some odd bits for cobham and PFW.

Ah cool, I'm just about to finish my apprenticeship with QinetiQ at Boscombe Down.

I'm going into NDT as of September, start working towards my PCNs.

Everytime I go to an airshow it shows me im in the wrong career path. Should have done something aerospace realated in uni.
