Default Warming up - Injection bikes.

It's fairly difficult to keep a carb'd bike running properly without letting it warm up first with aid of the choke. Whereas injections sort themselves out in terms of fueling when cold.

What I want to know is though, do most of you with injection bikes set off straight away from cold, or do you let it warm up a little first?

I only ask because I myself find it much easier to ride once it's warmed up a for 2-3 mins before riding off. Throttle is much easier to control and generally smoother.

Start up ride off as soon as possible.Carby or FI.That gets the thing up to temperature quickly which is the best way to reduce wear.Obviously you ride conservatively while it is getting warm, and this helps to warm up the rest of the machine like tyres, suspension brakes and transmission.

Push bike off of driveway and start as rolling down the road. (5am in the morning most mornings x no baffle = unhappy neighbours.

I used to start on choke where it would sit at 3k and id set off straight away without touching the throttle going up in the gears. Cruise like that until it was warm enough to make a fuss about it. Choke off and she's ready for the berries.

Start the bike, get Lid and gloves etc on, wait until a temp number shows/a bar comes up on the temp gauge and off I go.

Title says injection bikes so start up and ride, that is what the ECU is there for.
Anything else is just wasting fuel.
