Default Dropped on the left side, Curvy.

Hi,

Parts I'm immediately looking for are:

Gearchange lever
Left rider footrest
Left rider footrest bracket

Parts I'd consider replacing (scratched) are:

Left indicators
Left pillion footrests
Bar ends
Clutch lever
Left mirror

Thanks for any help.

Could the gearchange be repaired?

No, the push/pull rod is ok but the footpeg part from the lever snapped off so I can't shift up or down.

Id recommend the toe peg at the bottom. You will need a flat file and a drill to repair. Do a search on this forum for a repair thread i did when i had to do it. Thatll save you a fortune getting a new one.

You can drill the gear change lever and into the foot peg part, use a tap to thread the hole, then bolt the peg on. It's not drastically difficult to do. You could then bide your time to pick up a bargain.

Regards

Ok so I can repair the gearchange lever easy enough so I've saved a bit of cash there, thanks

Unfortunately I'm still looking for a replacement bracket/hanger which mounts the whole footrest + gearchange lever (Number 2 here)

Bent is repairable as long as your careful. Protect the metal, grip in a vice, use something to put pressure on it to bend it. Don't "bounce" it and it should bend. If not apply more pressure (but constant) until it does. If it's particularly stubborn you may need to heat the metal a little with a heat gun or blow torch.
