Default Another new guy

Passed my DAS a few weeks ago and I had already been won over by the looks of the naked SV's so had it waiting in the garage for me to pass.

I love it and it will be coming back to France with me (I live in the french alps)

Cheers

Darren - its an 07 mate, 6k on the clock! been garaged all it's life and I know how to clean a bike... and take a picture!

Good camera, good lens (7d with a l lense) and take about 30 pictures close up to get a cheated depth of field and stitch them together... only takes 5minutes but looks good!

30 pictures from the same position and just adjust the focus?

same position - tripod ideally but this was hand held... set your aperture to the most open setting (f4) on this lens. then start at the top corner and work along with a decent overlap then move down, do the middle, then bottom... id normally do the surrounding more but it's just my drive!

then use photoshop or something to stitch them - hope that helps...

you couldnt buy a lens that was this shallow at this range and if you could it'd be 10000000000 £

Amazing. I'll have to try it sometime. Don't think I'd be able to stitch it so well. Can just see it slightly on your car door's bump strip

I would have thought all the angles/straights on the bike would look wrong because you are changing the camera's view angle

Better from a tripod yep but you can skew it out... what you can see is actually terrible clone stamp tooling - look at the wall on the right also... I just didnt take enough pictures and I also wasn't that fussed about it so its just a rough job... done right it's untouchable!
