Default alarm fob.

yesterday I did about 300 miles, mostly in the rain, not a problem, the right kit and all that, thoroughly enjoyed myself, but I did have an issue, I carry my alarm fob on a lanyard around my neck and also use it to hang my walking stick off, obviously this means the alarm fob is out in all weathers, turned up at Sams and the indicator light was continually on.

I keep a spare set of batteries in my wallet and could bypass the alarm if needed (as I fitted it), but fortunately I removed the batteries and dried it out and it worked fine, today I checked it and the rubber gasket had dried out in one place allowing a little moisture to get in, quick clean and a bit of petroleum jelly sorted that out.

Just though it might be useful to someone else before they get stuck.

Cheers Mark.
