Default bike to work for the first time

I went home from work on my lunch brake today and with the weather being how it is, I got the bike out to go back.

My office is full of middle aged men and women and, when I walked in the office with my helmet in hand, I got a fair bit of attention.

The best comment was 'your living my dream' -came from a middle aged man.

It made me think... Us bikers really are lucky. Regardless of what we ride, how big the engine is or what exhaust we have on when push comes to shove, riding one really is living a dream

My 'commute' is about a mile. I work in a bike accessory shop and it makes me envious when people come in on their bikes on a day like today. I ride to work as I know I can make that 1 mile home into 30 and enjoy myself along the way

My work is also just a mile away... Having a bike makes me wish it was longer! By the time I'm geared up I could have walked haha

Always used the bike for work unless it snowing got caught out earlier this year. Makes the 80mile round trip seem much quicker than when I take the car.

My commute has been 6000 miles this year. Not bored of it yet! Love the people I meet. Always chatting to random bikers at the road side and other interesting characters. It's got a hold of my soul now and it won't let go.
