Default New to SV

Just purchased a mint SV650 Sport it's a 08 with 5200 miles on it, had suzuki's most of my biking life but turned to Yamaha in 02 when I got a FJR got another one in 06 when the revamped model came out still have the 02 also as the screen name suggests I have a BMW K1600 GTLE which I got September 2011. Have only done about 100 miles with the SV so far & love it.

Looking forward to reading the posts & advice on this forum, hope to meet a few of you out on the road

Heh, SV's are a right giggle compared to the big bruisers

My mate had an 1100GT, was quite fast actually but boring. 160 odd mph should just not be comfortable and relaxed.

Hello and welcome,
The SV's never going to win any power competitions in that company but it should be different enough to offer a nice choice in the morning!

I've no idea where you are located but if you want to put some names to faces rather a lot of people will be at the anual rideout next weekend. Details here.

I'm getting something of a reputation for pointing new people to this but in past years we've had new members miss the AR section and then realise they could have easily made it if they'd have seen it in time, which is a shame.
