Non starter - electrical. - SV650.org

Hi,

I am having some serious problems with this SV650. Its basically been rebuilt and everything seems to work, then stop, then work then stop.

After diagnosing a fault with the Starter Relay after having no power anywhere on the bike we managed to get the dash to light up, and bypassing the power take off in the Starter Relay (fuse was loose and we were getting intermittent dash lights when wiggling it) it fired up and ran.

Since then i replaced the Starter Relay and now i am getting dash lights but no starter. First of all it was starting and running like a dream, but now it just spins the starter and getting nowt! Have checked the fuel system is all connected and am still getting dash lights.

Clutch inhibitor has been bypassed and have tried removing the clutch diode and bridging that as well, but for now we are getting nowt!

I have a basic electrical knowledge and a circuit tester, but am struggling with the diagnosis now!

Any help greatly appreciated

Clarify: Only the starter spins or it spins the motor as it should?

And which model do you have?

Thanks for your swift reply, it was a loose connection.... All now working as it should, now for the brakes...
