Hi First time posting on here,
Tried to replace the speedo rotor on the sv650 curvy several times but they just keep snapping as I put them on the bike they don't seem to want to go onto the speedo sensor itself, any idea what's going on with it ? Many Thanks |

Yes. You can put the axle on through one side of the wheel (part way) before you put the speedo rotor into the wheel hub. Then gently put the axle through the rest of the way, making sure that the rotor is free to move and not snagged anywhere. Torque up and your all done.
I have a spare rotor for sale if you need another. Its been cut off a third of the way down as a I now have a GSXR front wheel. But it is in good working order and will be fine once re-attached. |

If you got a curvy speed sensor but trying to put a pointy rotor it, it wont go. The internal diameter is smaller in the pointy rotor. Sounds like you could being sold the wrong rotor

Do you mean that the brown magnetic part wont fit over the spigot that it rotates on within the sensor assembly? I bought a second hand assembly once where it could not be removed. If the spindle has been over tightened enough or the bike has been involved in a collision the spigot can become deformed at the end. If this is the case it will need a little dressing up/polishing till it will slip over without force. A Dremel would be ideal but a small abrasive stone in a drill would probably suffice.

Thanks for all the replys, its kind of how NedSVS said the magnetic part wont fit over. on my 3rd try with a new magnet will have a look to see if there is any damage to the housing itself,
