Default Ripping Ride to Rothesay

I haven't set a date for this proposal that'll be down to you guys (end of June start of July would do it)

How do you all fancy a wee lunch in Rothesay?

I was thinking about running this route - it includes a return trip on the the Colintraive Ferry

Morning - 101 miles from Gericke Glasgow to Rothesay

Afternoon 116 miles from Rothesay back to Gericke Glasgow.

If anyone has a route idea they want to post go for it we can ride any roads you want just so we can get out there.

Voted 7th. Good for the 14th also.

Heading out that way it would be rude to not try and get to Tighnabruich. Awesome mini Alpine uphill section and one of the best views in Scotland, looking down the Kyles from the top.

£8.25 return - robbin gets! You don't have time to take your helmet off it's that short a trip.

I believe it is the most expensive ferry in Europe !!! (£/distace)

Will check diary and see if possible.

We don't have to do Bute if you guys don't want. I didn't realise it was so bl00dy expensive should have known with it being Cal Mac. If we do go over I've already been told that we need to do Serpentine Road in Rothesay.

Andy, I'll have a look at modifying things slightly so we can get round to Tighnabruaich. We could maybe do that instead of going on to Bute.

Remember guys I did say in my initial post that if you have a route you want us to run post it up... I don't mind leading even if its not my route.

to be honest Bute is not that interesting. Rothsey town centre is stunning as are a cppl scenic views but that's about it.

i personally don't mind the £10 ferry ticket price but i think Stramasher has the right idea and mess about in the Kyles instead. i've pretty much seen most of Bute last year so not fussed.

ok so you cant go at warp speed in the Kyles but who wants to with the views.
