checked the fuses?
main one on the relay? all three of the cutouts (clutch/kill & sidestand) ? those are the normal causes of complete power loss.

"Totally dead"
I'll be assuming that no lights, no LEDs, not a flicker of a sign of life, as if you'd not put the key in at all. First check the battery connections are tight, and ideally remove the battery and charge it. Check the connections to the main relay on the right (follow the +ve from the battery) are tight and that this main fuse is OK (there's a spare in there on the other side) as well as that the 4 pin plug into the top is connected cleanly, sometimes the connections here get damaged. Check the main earth connection from the battery to the back of the engine. Failing that I'd lift the tank and check the connector from the ignition barrel back into the main loom. Sometimes it gets corroded and shorts out, causing the main live not to work. Jambo

Surely it would be easy enough lift the tank and look at the green connector? If wires or the housing is charred then there's your answer, it's blown. If not check the connections anyway.

Im struggling to see a green connector, guessing its under the airbox? Ive sorted a lift home tonight so that takes some of the pressure off! Chris |

Yeh the airbox is probably in the way. I had exactly the same issue except I was at the Ponderosa in Wales in winter when it happened!
