Talking Halvarssons Customer Care

Got my Halvarssons Proximo Jacket last winter, rode with it for 6 months and 4000 miles'ish. Very pleased with it, very waterproof, even riding all day in a scottish highland downpour.

The only problem was my fat neck !!! I must have a big neck (Have to wear XXL Arai Helmet) as the velcro on the collar did not fully overlap. This caused the short peice of 'loop' that was in contact to wear out and the jacket material to 'pull'

In June, I exchanged emails with John Lagerfield, customer support for Halvarssons in Sweden and he gave me a contact - Hill4Leather in the UK. As i still required my jacket to ride thru a scottish 'summer', I held onto it till the end of the biking season.

Forgot all about it till last week, phoned Dan @ Hill4Leather and even tho' he was on holiday, he still answered the phone and spoke to me. I got a phone call from them this Monday, courier picked up 10 minutes later !!!!!

Just got my jacket today (Thursday) and replacement velcro has fitted. They have even extended it as requested so that the same problem does not occur again.

Very impressed with all of their products and very impressed with customer care, thought it might be a hastle being as they are a Swedish company, but very easy to deal with. None of this having to take it back to the shop I bought it from, etc. Now after a full year and 7.5k miles, still very impressed. Waist extension piece is also very useful, never seen anybody else do one of these, so anybody with a long body can still be comfy when zipped together.

So thumbs up for Halvarssons.

It will be John Lagerway not Lagerfield he is one of the UK reps. We rarely have to deal with Warranty issues, but when we do, they are very efficient. Hill 4 leather are also VERY good at what they do!

Good to know that their customer service is as good as their kit. They seem to be quite reasonably priced too. I've only got some a couple of pairs of their gloves (summer & winter) but will definitely be sticking with their gear. The only problem is finding places that stock it.
