Default Mixing tyre brands?

Hi All,

Reckon it would be OK to stick a Pirelli Angel GT on the back and an Angel ST on the front of my SV? Might have a good deal on 2 tyres.

Thanks.
Dan

Default Re: Tyre Mix

as long as they are both the same type e.g. radial there should be no problem and is quite common for people to use two different tyres. you might have a problem with tyre shape but i think it's rare these days. my advice is take it easy till you sure there is no mismatch. the GT is just the new ST so i would guess there will be no problem. i would be happy to do it but that's me and i'm not being held responsible for your actions due to this advice.

I've very rarely had a matched pair of tyres on any of my bike. I've never felt uncomfortable because of it. It wouldn't even enter my head to worry about that pairing to be honest.

I have mixed tyres on my bike ( dunlop 208rr front and Maxxis supermaxx touring on the rear) and have no problems with it. But i only use the bike as a commuter and the front tyre was given to me!

Dunlop mutant front and pirelli scorpion on the back for work bike, feels good.

Have run a wet front and slick rear before too.
