Default Power sockets

I spend a considerable time on the bike and run several things requiring power, I have a dash mounted 12v socket and that powers my Sat Nav, but also have video camera/blackberry/ Sony phone charger/ compact camera and various other things requiring a USB port.

Previously I unplugged the Sat Nav and used an adapter for this, but obviously that ment I couldn't use the Sat Nav at the same time, another slight annoyance was the fact my polarized sunglasses made the LED clock on the dash hard to read.

I found this solution

On the Left is the standard 12v socket, on the right the new USB one; both ignition controlled and independently fused and yes the lid is a clock.

Pretty neat I thought.

Default Power sockets

I saw a photo of someone fabricating a mount on the rear pegs that looked neat too

If its of use to you I use a griffin dual USB-12v adaptor in the car, fits flush and works as it should. Gets my recommendation if you need extra USB charging capacity!
