Decking (the wooden kind, not lamping someone over the head)
I have a considerable size deck in my garden which is looking a bit sad! It's the grooved kind.
So have sanded the top layer as it was all splintery and chipped. Next is to clean the grooves and give it a nice ceded red colour. Anyone had experience doing this? Would like some tips how to get a good finish. Not putting that crap ronseal or cupronol stuff down, theirs is a stain (aka paint) which peals and flakes off. Gonna use Owatrol Textrol |

Get yourself a good branded decking cleaner and a jet wash, apply decking cleaner with a stiff brush, follow instructions then jet wash it off, allow to fully dry before applying any stain/ finish.

i tried wickes decking cleaner last year and gave up as it did bugger all.... might as well have just pi55ed on the deck!
have found some other stuff i am going to pick up in about 10mins... fingers crossed this works. |

Think my one I used on my decking was from tool station, might have been cuprinol brand.

Gemma. That aint a deck. That's the patio you buried him under.
FFS just hope he rots quicker than a bit of tanalized. But he has 30 years of embalming fluid force fed into his system.
