1999 SV650 Starter solenoid connector replacement? - SV650.org

Hi, I've been trawling the internet trying to find out where I can buy a replacement starter solenid connector (housing and crimps) but am having no luck at all!

Can anyone please let me know if it is possible to buy these anywhere as the one on my bike has got slightly 'warm'.

I've tried all the usual places and even one of my electrical suppliers in Taiwan but still drawn a blank

I can't think where you'd find one - I suspect salvaging one from an old loom would be easiest.

That said, if I remember rightly, the early bikes had standard 1/4" crimps in said block, just use some ordinary 1/4" crimps and place them manually in the solenoid connector.
I have done this a number of times albeit not in that connector, but I don't see why it wouldn't work, a couple of times there hasn't been space for insulated connectors, so I put heatshrink around uninsulated crimps.
