Hi Mark, can't help with the paint thing but as far as the headstock bearings are concerned I would think that an hour should be enough for that job, especially on a fairly new bike like yours. Wouldn't expect to come across too many seized bolts, bodged bits that needed sorting along the way etc. That said, are you sure its headstock bearings? Quite a new bike for them to be fecked unless its been to bits before for some reason. Might be play in the brake disc bobbins, calliper pins, or something like that? How are you checking them? Sorry, not doubting you, just thinking aloud.

I thought K3s and SK3s only came originally in Blue, Silver and Copper!
So not Black, unless it had been resprayed and then it could be anything!

Thanks guys the headstock clicks when pulling up at lights and when stationary with front brake applied and tryingnto move bike forward and backwards you can see a lil movement in headstock. Bike only had 2k when i bought it and was like new. Ive only done 8k since so 10k altogether.

At that mileage they may not require replacement, only adjustment, the click when you stop would appear to confirm this, as such a noise is usually found with slack bearings, worn bearings usually give a notchy feeling to the steering.

Plus a re-grease before you do it.
