Yeah, that's cyclocross for you. They are a bit special. Thing is though, the guy in the white jersey got up the stairs quicker.

He also got off his bike first and then had to get back on it at the top which might well have been slower overall.

Tis true. Sorry, didn't imply the guy didn't have skills. Cyclocrossers are nuts as a general rule.

awsome to watch and to race I started with 2013 winter western races and bloody hell it's hard work its basicy roadies having fun while training....after pretty much every race u want to puke!

hehe, the roadies dirty secret. I've done one cyclocross race. Once. apparently beasting yourself for an hour round a muddy field is fun. though I'm one to talk I used to row at school and its basically the same thing.
