Default Bought a second bike...

Watcha fink ?

I've wanted one of these for ages, so when this came up I chomped at the bit! Absolutely love it. Even love holding up traffic when doing 25 flat out up a hill . £130 a year fully comp, which is incidentally £18 more than the SV, but even so at 18 is ridiculously cheap. Just did an oil change which cost effectively £2.50 and brimmed the tank at £1.89 (not from empty!). Some surface rust and tatty bits but for a work horse commuter it is fitting the bill immensely. I have a funny feeling i'll not be getting rid of it ever.

And in its current state:

It's the drum brakes, I don't like riding with a single front disc, let along drum brakes, but, to be fair if 25 is all you're doing then you could stop that with your boot flintstone style.

Your winter "hack" I presume?

My brain can only come up with one word, why? I know it took 10 words to say one, I am a woman, what can you expect.

To be fair the drums are fine for the speed the bike does and the weight of the thing... if a bit bland. Its the tremendously 'floppy' suspension and wafer thin tyres that make it quite funny to ride.

It's just going to be my commuter and then I'll keep the sv for nicer days and weekends. I only stay a mile or so from my work so the cub does fine . Plus i've always wanted a cub, I know it isnt everyones vision of a perfect motorcycle but to me it is utterly brilliant.

Why not? Everyone likes different things and I like honda cubs. Mainly its for commuting, so that I don't have to watch the SV rot in the rain and salt up here in aberdeen.

Actually I only live one mile from work and 1 sometimes wish I had my old Suzuki Van Van it was such a sweet little 125, but only any good for really local stuff when you just cannot be bothered to put all the kit on, it even had a top box for nipping to the shops,

I live 8 miles from my work and I have an SV1000S and an R6 13s, so, I know what you mean about getting a bike you've always wanted
