Simple question, would the speedo work correctly if 9 magnets are fitted for use with a hall effect sensor?
I only ask as most K6 GSXR front discs I am coming across have 9 rivets and I noticed most threads on the subject talk about fitting 4 or 8 magnets. I also need to know which wires match up between the speedo wires and the hall effect sensor but I'll do a search for that at a later date. ![]() Cheers J

Wiring - (there's definitely posts on here with the colour coding but think this may be right) http://forums.sv650.org/showpost.php...90&postcount=7

Cheers Nobbylad, saved me the use of the search function there.
From that first post though it looked like the over reading was due to the sensor being too close rather than too many/too few magnets. The more I look about the more it seems that the only discs available for the K6 GSXR front wheel are 9 rivet and thus if this would cause a speedo error then I think I may be stuffed. ![]()

I'm fairly sure that's not the case, there used to be a good compatibility chart here http://www.gregoryli.com/search/label/DIY , but that site has since gone
![]() I recall someone off here may have copied the info though. Nothing wrong with getting familiar with the search facility ![]() |
