Hi all! May be a silly question but when it comes to electrics I'm rubbish! I have a K8 Naked SV, High beam works and running light works, but when I press the pass light nothing happens! Any Ideas?!?

So what you're saying is that all the electrics work OK, and that the high beam works correctly when you use it via the dip switch, but not when you press the pass switch, yes?
If everything except the pass switch works - then the problem is probably... The pass switch! And by extension this means the wiring to/from it of course.

On mine, the wire broke away where it was soldered to the switch.

I can see the age of the thread, but I have a K3 SV naked with the same problem. Is this an easy fix? I can't see how to open the casing without damaging it. I also don't have a manual, owned the bike just about a month now.
I should add the switch stopped working after I had been twisting the casing back n forth getting the buttons positioned just right for me, so I'm guessing I have pulled a wire loose also. Thanks in advance for any replies. Nutter |

There are two screws underneath that hold the two halves together - one screw holds the choke cable retainer and the other one is almost opposite to it. Pull the two halves gently apart, they won't separate completely because of wires, but should open enough to slip over the bar and see if the wire has come off. If you managed to rotate the switches you must have use enough force to shear off the locating pin that is meant to stop them rotating!
