Default Scottish Ferries - the list

Howdy all,

I'm putting together a list of Scottish ferry companies for a certain motorcycle website, and wondered if I could pick the collective hive-mind of ze Org please?

Here's where I'm up to so far, I'm certain there'll be loads I've missed so please feel free to chip in.

Cheers
JM

  • Caledonian MacBrayne aka "CalMac" - Approx 50 ferry ports across the West of Scotland covering most of the Western Isles
  • Corran Ferry - Crosses Loch Linnhe from Nether Lochaber to Ardgour, a few miles South of Fort William
  • John O'Groats Ferries - Scotland's most Northerly mainland point to Orkney
  • NorthLink Ferries - From the North East to Orkney and Shetland Isles
  • Orkney Ferries - Interlinking service between several of Orkney's individual islands
  • Pentland Ferries - From Scrabster to Orkney via the Pentland Firth
  • Shetland Ferries - Interlinking service between several of Shetland's individual islands
  • Skye Ferry - The last manually operated turntable ferry in Scotland, runs between Glenelg and Skye
  • Western Ferries - Gourock to Dunoon - (this one lands you right into some sublime motorcycling roads)

A lazy reply, but it looks like you have got quite a lot of the main ones already. There are a few more operators and obscure routes in the linky above but I don't know how up to date the info is?
