Default Opinions on Bottecchia Bike

I'm thinking of buying a bike to cycle to the station and one is for sale on ebay near me. I can see it tonight.

It's a Bottecchia Natura - which I know is a granny bike with a basket but that's what I need. But as the last time I had a bike it was a BMX given to me by 9 year old who'd out grown it (I was 31) can anyone tell me if this brand is any good? They want £100 for it, and I think it belonged to his daughter who is the same height as me so hopefully I won't need stabilisers.

Given your height, I'd go and sit on it and make sure its ok for you LPH

Other than that, it'll be fine, a bit on the heavy side by my standards, but cheap enough not to worry about it getting nicked from the station.

Brand is cheapo made in China or somewhere like that.

Its got a rack & a basket, so you can transport all your work stuff with ease, rear panniers could be used if you want extra capacity.

I bought it for £90 and he chucked in some high viz flashing armband thingys. It's in pretty good nick, been kept indoors. His daughter's just passed her test and got a car so the cash is going towards her stupidly expensive insurance.

I'm riding it home at the weekend. And I'm going to buy a helmet as a friend got knocked off near my home last week. Of course having a head the size of a pea I'll probably have to buy one like this.

I've just found one that looks like a shark or a dragon! If I'm going to wear a daft helmet I may add well get a really stupid one.

You wouldn't ride your motorcycle without a lid, and it's the same head on a pushbike.
Ruth has a nice magic rounderbout one.
So your in good company
