Hi folks,
My 2000 SV650 has developed an oil leak as above in the title. I am told this is common and is most likely down to the outer casing being warped as it's only plastic and a very common ailment of the Curvy. My question. Has anyone on here fitted a metal, or billet, outer clutch cover? If so, where did you buy it? Cheers Billy |

I've got a billet cover, but it was a special one made to order by a German orger. I don't think he'll be making any more
Woodcraft make one & I would either fit one of these or get a new OEM cover, plus the O ring to solve this

Before changing the cover, try a bit of instant gasket around the area of the leak. Obvioulsy depends on the size of the leak, but this method worked for me.

Try sand it down a little bit to flatten it again, and refit it with a new o ring...

If that fails the right hand side case from a 2003 onwards SV650 will be a straight swap, and won't leak as it has no separate removable clutch cover. No need to do this unless the above don't work, but can be a lot cheaper to source than a billet clutch cover for instance
