Question Jacket poppers are broken.

Hi.

I hope this is the correct section to post in, I thought about it for a bit and this one seems best.

The poppers on the storm flap section of my Frank Thomas winter jacket are all ripped from the flap (except 2) from use and rapid clumsy repetition trying to get my wallet out at a petrol station etc.

So my question is this:

Is there a go to way to repair this, as I would imagine it's a rather common problem with biker gear in general as it lives a hard life.

I was going to pop into a tailors and see if they can add some new ones or add a different way to keep the flap closed, but thought I would post on here first as you guys and girls are going to have hands on experience.

Thanks in advance.

Nutter.

I went to my local sowing supplies shop and bought some new poppers, the best bit of it is that you need a hammer to fit them! the whole kit to do it was around a fiver and it even worked on my old leather jacket.

If you have holes in the fabric, covering patches may help and if you cannot sow them in, a good tailor will be able to do so.

Being a bit of a seamstress, I do my own repairs and the wife's too, however repairing clothes with a hammer is just so much fun!

I popped into a tailors this morning to get one done as it was in a critical spot, and sometimes I sacrifice economy for speed, not all the time, I'm not daft. £4.00

But I think I will get some more studs and do the collar and bottom one for fun, then ill see what else I can find to stud. Think ill also fleabay, "Jeremy Clarkson universal fix-all tool"

Thanks for the replies peeps.

The last one I popped was down to Mrs Ntec sticking her cold feet in the top of my jeans.
The hammer nearly ended up somewhere else.
