Leathers - definitely. Kevlar jeans are fine around town, but invest in a good set of leathers. I find them more comfortable than jeans on longer rides too.
If you get the same brand of trouser they will probably zip together too. Mr LPH had an off at about 15 mph when a van side swiped him on a roundabout. He was in Kevlar combat trousers. They didn't wear through on the knee, so they did their job, but at a higher speed, or with greater impact I'm not so sure he'd have hobbled away with just a bruise.

thats what I'm thinking, around they are great but higher speed and potentially the weight of the bike too if going over surely must go through fairly easy, also to be honest my jeans aren't the most expensive

Got to agree with LPH,it's leather for me 90% of the time!can be really uncomfortable when really hot (not very often),then I wear textile with armour as they have more vents than my leathers(Scott MTM 2 Piece). But hey you pays your money and makes your choice, and how many racers wear textile!!!

Then you can come and meet the rest of the EAR group who aren't fitting kitchens or christmas shopping

That's the spirit, if you do, then that'll make 2 Sv's.
We'll be at the pier, Mark (Kaivalagai) is in Norwich and will be riding over

Just Mark from Norwich, Skip's riding over from Wymondham.
The rest of us are coming from Suffolk/Essex way, aiming to be at the pier by 12 - 12:30. Its a straight ride out to Southwold, just to meet up before Christmas
