Default Good price for Fork Service?

Hello,
Just curious about average prices for a fork strip down/service.

I live in Surrey and have been quoted £200 by steve jordan and £125 by Gordon Farley. From what I know its not a complicated process, just simply one I cant do at home.

Just wondering how much people have paid for this as £75 gap seems pretty vast?

Cheers.

Think you can get forks serviced by post on Ebay for £100, so the £125 seems reasonable.

Its easy to do, if you have the tools, so most of yours is labour.

But £125 seems like a fair price. £200 is priced to keep you away I think

if its for an SV650 then its very easy to do. one of the biggest problems are seized fasteners but apart from that its a straight forward job.

what do you consider a 'fork service'?

if your taking the forks in then £70 from any garage. if your wanting a ride in and complete strip down, new seals and put back together then its about an extra 1.1/2hr plus parts prices.

so what exactly do you want done depends on the price.
