Default SV hesitating

Hi, just got myself a 2007 SV650S and got a problem already.

In gears 2-6, at WOT, between 7-10k RPM it hesitates and backfire.

Any ideas ? I've replaced the spark plugs and the wires already.

Possibly a fuelling issue if you have ruled out ignition

Any idea in the system ? Are the pumps or filter a common problem ? I was thinking it's my exhaust. When I got it, I put a Delkevic system on it.

Does it run and ride fine when it's NOT at wide-open throttle? Is the airbox and filter standard or modded? Is the Delkevic a full system or just the can?

Before diving into the fuelling, I'd double-check the really basic stuff like the battery condition, that the terminals are clean & tight etc. Are the clutch switch connectors clean and free of corrosion, and the connector pushed fully home? Maybe give the sidestand switch a good spray with contact cleaner to rinse it out too. Any of those could cause a misfire.

Potentially an air leak. Check the air box is fully seated on the throttle bodies, and they are also properly seated onto the inlets.

Did it run ok before you put the different exhaust on it?The solution is normally found by looking at what you have changed or adjusted.

Full throttle problems tend to rule out air leaks because vacuum is at it's lowest. These conditions place the highest load on the HT system, I would be investigating electrical system condition, e.g. battery condition, charging voltage, swapping coils with a known good alternative etc
