Default Track Bike minitwin

I'm testing the water to sell the Carby I have had for about 3 years because I'm thinking of getting an inline 4 this year.
If it sells it sells, if it doesn't it wasn't meant to be and I'll keep it another year>
Never raced, I converted the bike from a very good T reg road bike with lots of history, I reckon current mileage is about 20K miles which can be verified by the old MOT's and current ODO. I run in inters and it's only done track days (about 10)
Basic Spec.
V5 in my name
Set up on dyno at SPC 72Bhp
BMC race filter
Tank risers (not mini twin legal)
520 chain conversion, all new parts
Shorai battery front cylinder mounted
Keyless ignition (switch on bars)
New Delcovic silencer, passes noise tests ok
Exhaust system is aftermarket but I don't know what it is, possibly micron
Alloy rear subframe
Fireblade seat
Nearly new EBC front discs
Acewell speedo/revcounter
Rearset riser plates
Oil and filter changed every 2 track days
Proper magura choke lever
ZX636 Rear Shock
Racetec fork springs 0.8 and gold emulators
Avon tyres with loads of life in them
Race filler cap
Braided lines
New front pads (Bendix)
Wets on wheels with discs
Spare tank in great nick
New spare seat unit
Few other spares such as radiator, rear master cyl, footrests, levers, etc
Runs perfect, very tidy, better than all the track carby's I've ever seen, nicely painted apart from the dent in the tank, protected with aluminium tape.
Only minus is dent in tank (fell against side of van in transit) and small cracks on seat unit (since strengthened with new fiberglass)
Just add front fairing, rain light and lockwire and it's ready to race, it makes a great track bike as it is.
£1700 for the lot, I'm in South Yorkshire near J1 M18. Would consider PX for an in line four 2003 on CBR600rr, ZX6rr, etc (me to add cash).

That's a great package bud, I have my own carby track bike so not up for buying it I'm afraid, but I could post this up on TDR (a forum for race and track day riders) if you like? PM me with an email address you don't mind being posted up as a contact. There's a couple of lads on there new to TD's who are after a bike sub 2k.

On a side note I'm struggling with my relocated choke cable, where did you get your choke lever from?
Also need to relocate the battery, where was your battery holder from?

Cheers and good luck,
Dave.

Hi Bunkle,
if you could that would be great. I am a member on there but rarely post so it wont let me put an advert on. So people can PM me. If you do it, I will add a post below explaining with contact details. (I use the same name "Lawman" on there).

The battery box was supplied by Neil Pearson, I think NP motorcycles, he used to be near Donnington but has relocated to the South West I believe. He is on facebook. That box was made for my battery but he does larger ones for lead acid batteries. He does race looms that he makes out of your old loom too and is a bit of an SV guru.

Choke cable lever is a magura made item, spot on for the job.

Appreciate your help as I said, if it sells, it sells if not I'll use it another season.

David

No worries David, I'll get that on there for you bud.
Cheers for the info on the other parts, especially the battery tray, I have one but it's for a standard battery and it fouls the fairing, I may eventually get my sv ready for the track this year!!

All the best mate.

Those Shorai batteries are the dogs, its like having a packet of fags to start your bike they are that light and small. Worth a look.
Thanks for doing the advert.

Just watched your Caldwell Park video and it's reminded me of all the dangers in the inter group.... don't think I saw a single rider on the same line and the difference in braking points and corner speeds is amazing! Your pace is easily up to the fast group and you'd have a whole lot more fun there. People are always worried about the bigger bikes but they only tend to come past you on the straight bits and unlike that chap in your video don't tend to then stop in front of you afterwards! Good luck selling the SV, but you're gonna miss it if it does go. I ride mine back to back on the track with my GSXR 1000 and they are both a hoot in their own way.

The video was my last run in novice group before I graduated to inters. I moved that track day when I realised my time had come. You are right it was mayhem!

I feel just about right in the inters at the moment, neither fast or slow. You are right though, the SV is a hoot hence not being too worried if it sells or not.

I think the fast (in a straight line) guy on the video must be on a litre bike with speed like that..
