Default Stock (quiet) Exhaust 2001 Curvy

As title. After a stock box as the one on presently is a sports and loud, too loud to be starting the bike up at half 6 in the morning when I will soon be using it to commute on.

Thanks

Ryan

Has your can got a baffle in it?

Getting the old header pipes off can be a big hassle with the front studs snapping off at the slightest provocation.

You can reduce the noise by fitting a DbKiller into your can if it doesn't have one. Or get a quieter can, like a Fuel

You could probably get one on Ebay, I brought a Scorpion for £30, it was a bit noisy, my Fuel end can is nice

Hi, don't think I can fit a db killer to mine and it looks empty shining a light down into it. It's a one piece unit and does not look like a way I could get into it without cutting it open

Regards

Db killer or similar goes in the end , not inside, so long as the can has a little section of pipe.

You might need to drill a small hole in the exit pipe to pass the db killers fixing bolt.

But I'd go for BB's standard can, nice and quiet, you'll need a link pipe, ebays for that

Thats why its so fecking noisy, i followed The Mighty Boosh on a ride out with a can like that, gave me a feckin headache and you could hear it 2 counties away

I dont understand the logic of making it so loud, its even unpleasant for the rider

Do you have a link for the DB killer? I'm intrigued how they work. This is the exhaust currently on

What link pipe?

Don't get me wrong, I love a loud can, you should hear the ones on the V8 Jag! But at least inside the Jag they are not as loud so it doesn't bother me. The one on the SV is great on a day out to North Wales, can't beat the sound of it. Starting it up at half 6 in the morning though is a different matter!

I'd like to have the standard can on for daily commuting and once the weekend hits I will swap it over for when the fun begins
