Default Help needed

Hi Folks

I'm new to this forum as i have only just passed my test and purchased an SV650S. Not too sure if this is correct section to posti n . Sorry if it is not .
Now I have seen one fitted with lower fairings and it looked the dogs nuts. So hopefully father christmas is going to drop a set off for me this year . Only problem is i cant decide what paint code my bike is. It is a 2002/02 reg but in red. It is the solid (ferrari colour) red. I know there are two reds Pearl Helois & Candy Antares. I aint got a clue as to what mine is any help here would be appreciated.
Also would it be possible to tell the model year and paint code from the vin plate of the bike like you can with a car.

On another note, the bike is fantastic . I had zero confidence when i started but slowly it is getting there, the throttle was hard to get used too at first, but other than that - great.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I believe its the candy red on the 02..... but i'm sure one of the red squad will let you know for sure....

If you can get one of the panels off it should give the colour code on the reverse...

Welcome to the site btw

Try 19A as a paint code, you could always lift up the tank and at the front underneath on the tank you will find the paint code. Oh by the way I have a spare set of Brand new, Yes brand new lowers in my loft from Suzuki, never used, still in the wrapping.
Just thought I would mention this as they are £300 brand new.
Oh yeah, when you buy some lowers, buy some crash bungs at the same time

Not sure about the Red's and this may not help as it shows no Red for a 2002 model but it helped me find my Yellow paint code.

Hi Folks.

Firstly thanks for all the help.
Secondly, ihave just been sorting through all the docs i got with the bike, and found a tiny slip of card with the frame number on it. Checked this against the bike (all ok), but it also has Y7M & SV650SY printed in the corner, so im taking this as the paint code = Pearl Helis Red.
Now they stopped making this colour in 2000, and my bike is registered as a march 2002/02, so im assuming that it was sold a year late. (left at the back of the shop).
Im going to pop down the local suzuki dealers just to get a second opinion.
As for crash bungs, im going to get a set asap.

thanks again.
