Default Lucky I was on my bike this morning

So I'm riding to work for the first time this year when all the cars ahead decide to do an emergency stop... I have plenty of space and so stop in plenty of time - then move to between the white line and central reservation in case the car behind doesn't.

Low and behold a golf stops next to me, whilst behind him there are screams of brakes and tyres.

Thank god I was on my bike and could get out of the way. If I was in my volvo I would be looking at some serious damage now.

Thank god I decided to get out of the way as well

Been there. Didn't give it any thought other than what a **** the guys behind me were. When I got home I started thinking what could have happened. Nasty!

Glad you are OK though.

Since all chavs are, by definition, half-witted this one must be only quarter witted

Eh, if he were the last in the queue, there'd be nothing to hit him

Good thinking though!
If you are last in the queue any new arrivals hit you from behind. Very good advice, I'd say.

Modern cars crumple to much when you hit anything - is it really worth the damage to your car?
