Default rusty bottom yolk. help.

I took the bike in today due to lack of trains up here quite an experience!! I decided to take a town route to avoid dual carriage ways etc but still getting blow all over the place. And then there's the 5 minute hail stone shower as well.......

Still fun though!

So anyway, back to the topic, I've noticed alot of rust marks on my bottom yolk if I look down through the fairing. It's not bubbing up or anything, it seems to be just coming through the paint.

So, any tips on what I can do about it?? Will a good scrubb get it off? What kind of chemicals would be good, WD? Autosol? Braso? Please don't tell me I'm going to have to use wire wool or something??

Thanks.

If it's only mild, like on my Hornet, then autosol and a toothbrush will do. Try toothpaste around the fork-legs first though, as the chances are that's only staining rather than rust.

Dunno what the SV is like (is it really painted?), but it cleans up OK on my bike.
