Default oh deer, oh deer,

coming along the M25 last nite towards dartford crossing. doing about 85 in the left hand lane. lorry coming towards me, mirror, indicator, lifesaver. go to move out when CRACK, in a few secs i see a dead deer in the road - so close i cant swerve to avoid it. so decide i have to go through it. hit the rib cage, hear the sickening bone crunch, bike jumps up spraining both my wrists. blood and bit of deer fly up at me. both wheels land on the ground - expect them to skid. but come straight down as if it never happened.
come off the next junction to check tyres ect. no damage there - just blood on my boots and a BBQ smell coming from my downpipes(smelt lovely).

thinking im a lucky man - could have been alot worse.

Glad you're all right. Good thing you didn't swerve- might of been dodgy if you'd gone airborne at an angle...

And I thought I was lucky not to crack some fairing the other day!

good point ceri, i saw that i couldnt steer around it so i didnt see the point in trying.

ironic thing is- if i didnt do the lifesaver - i would have saw it and been able to avoid it
