Default Tyres for an '01 naked

Just thinking bout new tyres, mez 4's on there now not too impressed. Will probably go for 207's due to price/stickyness factor being good unless u lot know better?

The new Metz Z6s? Probably as good as an 020 but will give you around 12k miles.

From a single rear? Maybe if you ride like a 'big girls blous'e eh . seriously I'd like to know how to achieve that. I've don't think I've ever got even 8k out of a rear(excluding the CG125 , CB250s' of course ).

Cheers
Ben

Or if you do what I do, about 3k out of a rear then get a bloody nail in it.

Good point. Let me explain. Rictus put a set on to try them out. To say he's not exactly a slow rider would be an understatement of enormous proportions, the guy is fast - everywhere. In fact I don't know someone harder on their bike than him.

His rear tyre has done more than 12k miles and still has wear in it. The front looks only half worn. He's as amazed as everyone else. 12k is not only a reality but almost impossible not to achieve with this tyre unless you're into daily burnouts. Am I putting them on my bike next? Too right.

I've just fitted a Metz Z6 to the rear of mine on the strength of Rictus' report. First impressions are good, even after the Diablo it replaced.

The Roadtec starts out ahead of the game since it's tread's collossal to start with... Great tyres. Mine are 4000 miles down and you'd never know.
