Default the cleaner look

I have been looking into purchasing a kit for my 2002 sv650s, to do away with the ugly mud flap/license plate holder. My question is what is the best kit available to make this conversion.

Hamicad for the later models, Suzuki for the earlier seems to be the preference here.

I don't know about Hamicad, (pics look good, but haven't got one so can't tell you about fitting) but the OEM is relatively easy to fit (I did it!) and doesn't involve chopping your original around. It's a direct replacement.

Have got a K3 and the Hamicad unit is easy enough to fit. The instructions that come with it are quite precise and easy to follow and the end result looks 100% better. If an absolute mechanical novice like me can do it, anyone can, and at £40 its a cheap mod for better looks. Do it!

Hi,

I was also interested in replacing the number plate / indicator mounting on my K4 . (view messages from New SV650 s Owner under Biking Issues forum) However, after reading the suggestion from VALMAN, i have decided to wait a while. He explained the current mounting stops all the road muck flicking up onto the bike, whereas the Hamicad will not prevent this happening. Not sure what to do now.

Hope this helps

I don't think the problem is all that big an issue. I have a Hamicad fender eliminator and allthough there is a bit of spray neither the bike or I get very wet.

Hey,

thanks for all the imput. I was wondering though if the kit for an 03 would be interchangable with an 02? I looked at the Hamicad and it seems to have a pretty sweet look and if its in easily install thats an added bonus.

Banditmania, these one's look nice.
You could always go down the bottom of the page, look underbody work and then check out the undertrays post.
