Custom painting the tank
I dented my tank a couple of times in the last few months, and paint chipped. I got some paint off ebay (don't do this, the colour matching is terrible) and tried to repaint it, but it looks bad.
Therefore, being an ex art student, I have decided to paint the tank in a custom design (yet to actually design it, as I want to know if it's possible or not). So my question is, what paint do I need to use and how do I prepare the tank surface (sanding?). I've got a blue naked 650 k4, any ideas on a theme? Also, if any of you have done this, post pictures, as I'd like to see how it looks. |

ok
then probably cheaper and less hassle to get a tank for it off ebay.. they come up pretty often. |

Assuming that I want to paint this tank to actually use some of the art training I was given, does anyone know what paint to use?

Your want to be spraying it. I think your suppose to use two pack for it, for a long lasting finish. Then clear coat, sand back between layers?
However rictus use celluose based paint as he keeps changeing his mind about the colour of the SV. SI wrote up a guide on how to do it: http://www.sv650s.org.uk/Respray.html Dan |

Get a Baglux tank bag & stick it on the tank... That's save you looking at the damaged tank
