Default Govt. National Motorcycling Strategy

I've just spotted an actual news story on the MCN web site, hidden amongst all of the bimbo pictures:

http://www.motorcyclenews.com/nav?pa...EWS_OTHER-NEWS

I'm looking forward to hearing more about this. Hopefully it's going to be positive stuff.

Yes, it is unusual, but you do occasionally find real news on MCN.

More spin from the Anti christ.
Surely you all know by now that this Government dreams up hundreds of these schemes on a daily basis. All seems like a good idea in principle. However, the majority of them never make it to legislation and if they do, the legislation will be ill prepared. Too many advisers, not enough positive action. New Labour is a joke.

Also, I had started to believe that MCN was never going to post anything other than picks of 'girls on bikes' again, and that I'd have to stop going there.

......unless you're old enough to remember what a total **** Michael Howard was when he was Home Secretary in the last Tory Government.

The sentiment was exactly the same against the Tories at the 1997 election. It's always the same, they get too fat, arrogant, and complacent. Governments are voted out not in.

I just don't know if I can bring myself to vote for any of them, they are all as bad as each other. Voting only encourages them, anyway.

And not voting makes 'em think we don't care

If there's one thing that sums this lot up it's the present plan for "Belmarsh Lite", i.e. the detention of suspects without trial on the say-so of a politician. They're proposing it because they'll think they can get away with it.

It wasn't necessary at the height of the IRA's mainland activity so why is it necessary now when the assessed risk of a terrorist attack is very much lower than it was in the 1970s and 1980s? Not one member of this govt will give a straight answer to that question.

It's contrary to everything our forefathers fought the WWs for and for this alone they should be booted out. They are treating us as if we are stupid.

Interesting juxtaposition I think; imposing western-style democracy on Iraq (via the gun ) whilst this country has a despotic administration trying to undo all the things most of us take so much for granted that we can't believe they'd actually do it.

And they're systematically and stealthily raiding our pension funds.

Rant over
