Default Still bikeless, waiting and frustrated...what should I do???

To cut a long story short.
Went to my local Suzuki dealer (Sat. 18th Dec.) and done a deal for a K5 naked and told him I didn't want delivery until the beginning of March. He said it may be mid Feb. which I was happy enough with as it might as well sit in my garage until March.

Talked to him at a local bike show on 20th Feb. and he informed me that it would be the middle of March.
I was quite shocked/gutted, to say the least and left it at that. After a week of thinking about it, I phoned him and he basically said that whenever its in he'll let me know.

What the hell is going on, ordered the bike mid Dec. and it can't be here for March, its not exactly a piece of hand built exotica.
The whole episode has taken the taste and excitement off, getting my 1st. bike. I want to feel that buzz again, the one you get when you are really looking forward to something and can't wait to get it.

I planning on giving it to this day next week (15th.) and if I haven't heard anything I'm going to give him a call. I really want to have the bike by the Easter hols. I suppose at this stage thats what my new dream is set on.

Apologies for feeling a bit down, I guess its a combination of the delay and the better weather. Just makes me feel like getting out on the bike.

Any suggestions on how to handle this problem would be appreciated.

They're in elsewhere aren't they? If you can find another one in the same colour, for a similiar price, I'd just demand my deposit back (if he's had one) and go elsewhere...

All I paid at the time was a deposit of £50.00, which is what he asked for to seal the deal.

I'm a 1st. time customer and you would think they would be keen to please and keep me as a long term customer.
Not exactly the best way to start off customer relations.

As for dealers they are few and far between here in N. Ireland. My 1 sort of has the market sown up.

All I can do is hope its sooner rather than later and that I'm soon posting about the arrival of my new machine.

Can't you ask him what the problem is? After all it's as much in his interest to get the bike sold to you as it is for you to have it, so I don't think he'd want you to walk.

Look around for another similar bike, if you find one go back to the fuy and demand your deposit back. If he's an **** leave it and lesson learned (unless your well 'ard... in which case give him a slap). And go and get the other.

If they dont treat you like a valued customer, vote with yur feet and take your business elsewhere i say.

I work hard to keep my customers and clients happy and i know if i didnt look after them...i'd lose them.

Can't you buy one on the mainland and take it home on the ferry?

If your having problems buying the bike, imagine what's going to happen when you've got it and if you have a problem.

I'd be tempted to buy it elsewhere, try and get my money back or if not just write off the £50.
