Default shock swap/different battery

Those of you who've done the shock change with a shock that has the fixed horizontal reservoir on the top of the shock, will have seen the difficulty with retaining the standard battery. Apparently the fazer thou (US FZ1) battery is the same width but taller and thinner and could be the one to go for. I'm going to get one , soon as, and try it out.

What model SV do you have? If it's a pointy SV, you really don't want a taller battery.

I'd be interested to hear about this for when I eventually get round to fitting my ZX636 shock.

Probs sometime in Summer now, as v.v.busy atm.

Dan.

I'd just leave it how you've done it Jonacol... On the curvy there's tons of space to work with under the seat once you get rid of the fusebox thing.

Hmm, I've got the battery on its side with the fuses underneath but its pretty tight upto the underside of the seat like this. I'd rather have the battery upright I think. The only way to get more room would be to hack the mudguard some more and let the battery move backwards into the space.(i think)

Ah, maybe the gel seat's got more space underneath it now I think about it...
