Default Knox Cold Killers vs Gore Windstopper

Has anyone tried these products? I'm thinking about getting a top for winter riding, but don't know if they are worth the money. How do they compare with a normal fleece?

Thanks!

I've got the knox coldkiller socks and snood (neck warmer).

The socks are top quality. Really warm and don't get too sweaty. I'drecommend them to anyone who does winter riding, even with decent waterproof boots.

The snood is very weak- nice fabric, but the shape means if you wear it over your mouth (doesn't stop misting at all, not that it's supposed to, but still), in which case it severly limits the amount you can turn your head for rear-observations. If you pull it down so it's just on your neck, it chaffs (really badly- worse than wetsuit neck rash ) and doesn't keep all the airblast out of the bottom of your lid.

I've gone back to using my Bike freebie neck warmer (just a thin stretchy tube). Helps break up windchill on the neck, yet it's no harder to turn your head when wearing it.

I got a infinity wind stopper top about 2 months ago, it's awesome i never go with out it and it saves having loads of bulky layers. Not sure how it compares the the real wind stopper but price wise i thought it was good about £40.

just my two peneth worth, I wear seal skinz gloves sometimes at work and they are really good, i wear the same make socks when on the bike with sports boots and in this weather my toes are toasty.

I also have some knox cold killer gloves and have to say they are not worth the money, there are better gloves out there at cheaper prices.

I have some outer clothing with gore windstopper built in and it is fantastic, i would defo pay the extra for gore windstopper.

but its just my opinion.
