Default ZX1 - "friction eliminator"

Does/Has anyone use this stuff? Seems you add it to the oil and it reduces surface wear by 90% (clutch probs from this?). Reduces fuel consumption and other cool things too.

I remember seeing one of those 30 infomercial thingys late night where they took the sump off a car engine block with the running and sprayed water onto it and it continued to run for ages before overheating/seizing. I think that was with oil+ZX1.

Anyway they showed another engine with the sump off just with oil and within a min or so the crank went nuts and a con rod went through the side of the block lol..

So yea it does reduce wear. Is it worth using ?

I remember seing that one i think. i used to love watchin em after coming in from a rave off my nut and watching them sort of things

I have no idea if it works...prolly does, question in my mind is will it also stop the engine from getting to optimum temps etc. But then it all gets a bit complicated for me.

just my opinion, but I'd recommend you steer clear of all those aftermarket oil additives.

Oil companies in conjunction with engine manufacturers spend millions on developing oils/additive packs to do the job they are required to do. When I was working in industry I used to be on a "Cam&tappet" working group centred at Esso in Abingdon, and the work really is genuine and systematic.

Decent quality oil has all the additives you need in appropriate amounts. Save the money and either change your oil a bit more often or just go down the pub.

What Embee said.

Regular oil changes to keep crap out of engine, and engine will probably outlast the owner
