Anyone thinking of removing their air filter to improve flow, think again.
I've just taken my K&N out and there were bits of sand and gravel trapped on it. You certainly wouldn't want them sucked into your cylinder. It's been washed and is currently drying in the afternoon sun. |

It's pretty common to run with no filters among the US racers... If you do it on the street, you deserve everything you get.
Might be worth mentioning that BMC don't recommend their Race or Race RS filters for dusty climates either.
