was cleaning my bike the other day and when i got round to my forks the black seals at the top have cracked a little with rust spots within them now no oil is leaking out but is this a
FIX IT URGENT or FIX IT SOON job?? also has anyone had these replaced and whats the ruff cost for the job?? |

got a split in one of mine been like it since i had forks straightened and seals done, never leaked or anything so i,ve left it

The visible seals on top are just dust seals... The actual oil seals are underneath. Still, if they're damaged enough they could retain dirt or gravel and scratch up your stanchions, which if it gets bad enough is a stone-cold MOT fail.

You would have to remove the forks to fit them, but wont have to strip them down.
