any one got any ideas why im getting a wierd sound when riding. i think its coming from the engine area but cant be sure, the reason why i say this is because whilst riding i notice the noise but if i pull the clutch and coast theres nothing. the bikes only done 750miles so is this a wrd running is sound that will go once every things bedded in properly?
many thx Dan |

New one by me, sorry... Can you be more specific on the noise? Is it most obvious when revved hard, engine braking, or cruising? In any particular gear? That might help someone pin it down...

Chain noise shouldn't go away if you pull the clutch in, it should be more obvious since the engine noise is out of the equation

Well, chain noise is natural... it's supposed to scuff over the plastic plate on the swingarm. Put the bike on a stand and spin the wheel by hand, you'll hear an absolute racket
![]() Chains don't go silent when you clutch, remember? The final drive continues to spin, and should be more audible since the engine noise is gone.
