Default SV650 or Hornet 600s

My mate and I are newbie riders, I have a naked SV650 and he has a Hornet 600s. We are constantly comparing the two bikes, but as novices we really don't have the knowledge to answer the question -Which is the best bike?

Actually, you need a combination of your bikes - a naked '03 or later Hornet.

It all depends on the colour

depends on what you want from them... hornet will have more top end whereas the SV will be more fun in the low/midrange... the twin will always sound better than an IL4...

and btw, the best bike is the best bike for YOU.

personally Im a v twin girl as opposed to an IL4 fanatic.

Personally I think on paper the Hornet's a better bike. Controversial! Good indestructible engine, power where you want it, good riding position and nippy in the corners.

But for me, the SVS won out because it's generally cheaper for a bike in the same condition, it has a fairing, I prefer the looks and the riding position, and I like twins.

Both superb bikes, as is the Fazer. Just that all 3 do different things best.
