Default ebike insurance

Hi,

I've just been getting a couple of quotes for my bike and found ebike insurance to offer very competitive prices. In fact, it's surprisingly low compared to my current insurer (Bennetts).

Does anyone have insurance by these guys or Southern Rock (Who I think ebike are the trading arm of)?
Is this a genuinely competitive quote or have I missed something?!?

Any words of wisdom appreciated as always!

JG

Actually, I've just found the answer to this from e.d.

Any other opinions of them welcome, of course.

£461 for SV650 AND GSXR600 K4 garaged in NW6 isn't too bad imho.

Hmmm? I just tried them and they quoted £1,000 - more than Bennetts....!

ebikeinsurance is a new company - they had a big launch and are trying to be fllexible and cometative. What they do offer, which I think may suit a lot of riders, it the opportunity to downgrade from Fully Comp to TTPF during the winter months if you are not an all season rider, saving quite a lot of money. They also give you a full years NCB over something like 8 or 10 months in certain circumstances. They gave me a competative quote but I still went through my broker that took another £60 of the original quote to match ebikeinsurance as he'd sorted a good quote last year and and brought my NCB forward a few months. But they are well worth a try

In my experience with insurance companies, what is cheap for one, might not be cheap for another. Sadly i think its a conspiracy of the said insurance companies and telep[hone companies alike. Its all about doing the ring around!

I only pay £113 tpf&t for my sv, any cheaper, and they'd pay me!

ebikeinsurance have just given me a quote of £157/0xs comp for my sv with a declared can, motorcycledirect will not touch me with the can and £207/200xs without.

Does not suprise me motorcycledirect have been consistantly more than my current insurers (bennetts) for the past 2 years. Currently paying £163/250xs comp with 1 years ncb
